Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Benefits & Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the health and welfare programs as well as providing support to the payroll group. This role, based at our office in Montreal, QC, will provide information and guidance on related legislation and process various insurance applications and claims. The position will also perform other duties as assigned. Your activities Benefit Administration Administer group insurance plans, including enrollments and terminations. Administer retirement plans including enrollments and terminations. Coordinate with the various external partners to ensure compliance and accuracy. Coordinate some wellness activities, including the annual health risk assessment process Support staff & Managers with benefits-related issues, general questions related to group insurance & retirement. Administer inactive employees; be their primary contact for questions and support. Payroll Administration In collaboration with the members of the team, process & verify bi-weekly payroll for all employees (hourly and salaried). Maintain employees' profiles in HCM-Dayforce. Ensure internal policy compliance for any changes. Collaborate with Human Resources and other internal business partners to ensure accuracy and time efficiency. Partner with the branches to ensure the time & attendance system is used efficiently, including coaching & training of the various users. (Supervisors & employees). Support staff & Managers with pay-related issues, general questions related to payroll, accruals, and wage deductions. Ensure compliance with collective agreements. Your profile Bilingual (English and French) 1-3 years of payroll and/or benefits experience. Eligible to work in Canada with an open, valid work permit.
