Job Description: Position Title: Business Consultant Line of Business: Technology & Operations Capital Markets Est. Start Date: September 1, 2026 Duration: 12 months Possibility of Extension: Yes depending on the T+1 initiative Possibility of conversion to FTE: No Working hours: 9-5pm Working Location: Toronto Structure: Hybrid, 1-2 days in office Compensation: T4: $62/hr-$70/hr | IC: $75/hr-$82/hr Role Mandate The Analytics & Reporting group is accountable for continuous improvement of the analytics and reporting process across Capital Markets Trade Servicing and Product Control group. The group requires specialized business skills. This role will report to the Director, Analytics & Reporting and will play a key role supporting the UK T+1 initiative, including business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and dashboard development. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology partners to translate business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions, including the design and development of Power BI dashboards. In addition to supporting the T+1 program, the contractor will contribute to ongoing analytics, reporting, automation, and process improvement initiatives across the team. Key Responsibilities UK T+1 Initiative Partner with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, data requirements, processes, and reporting needs related to the UK T+1 initiative. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to identify business logic, data definitions, metrics, and success criteria. Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process documentation, and supporting project artifacts. Collaborate with technology teams to define, design, test, and implement required data views, datasets, and reporting solutions. Perform data analysis and validation to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness. Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support program governance, readiness tracking, and operational monitoring. Support project planning, testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications throughout the initiative lifecycle. Analytics & Reporting Team Responsibilities Develop, design, and implement Power BI reporting solutions across Trade Servicing, Product Control, and other business functions. Build high-quality analytics solutions that are intuitive for senior audiences and drive business outcomes. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate trends, risks, insights, and key performance metrics. Support analytics, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven solutions. Partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting opportunities and recommend innovative solutions. Champion the adoption of enterprise reporting and analytics tools. Participate in and support strategic initiatives, project workstreams, and task forces as required. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Must HavesUniversity degree in Business, Commerce, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline. 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, analytics, reporting, consulting, or project delivery roles. Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and translating business needs into reporting solutions. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and technology teams. Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel. Experience performing data analysis, data validation, and dashboard development. Strong understanding of reporting, analytics, and business intelligence concepts. Experience supporting large-scale transformation or regulatory initiatives is considered an asset. Problem solving and critical thinking Project coordination and execution Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Capital Markets, Operations, Trade Servicing, Settlement, or T+1 knowledge is considered an asset.

Requirements
