Position: Middleware Developer Location: Toronto, ON Job ID#: RQ11775 Duration: 11 Months Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to provide technical expertise supporting the ongoing sustainment, enhancement, integration, and performance of mission-critical enterprise applications. The successful candidate will contribute to application development, system integration, automation, and database solutions while ensuring reliable service delivery across complex environments. Security Requirement: This role requires a valid OPP Level 4 Security Clearance. Please note that obtaining clearance may require 8+ weeks after contract award. Work Arrangement: This position is currently designated as onsite, working 7.25 hours per day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Lead application design and systems analysis activities. Develop web-based applications using: .NET VB.NET C# JavaScript Oracle Microsoft SQL Server Azure DevOps Design and implement enterprise integration and interface solutions using: IBM ACE IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Oracle Microsoft SQL Server .NET ESQL WCF Support and develop IBM ACE message flows. Provide technical expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, and PL/SQL database environments. Develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy integration solutions. Create automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell. Design, develop, and manage REST and SOAP APIs. Work with JSON, XML, and XSLT technologies. Configure and manage reverse proxy and forward proxy services. Administer Apache server configurations. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to communicate technical concepts effectively. Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address integration and development challenges. Mandatory Qualifications Proficiency with: IBM ACE IBM Integration Bus (IIB) WebSphere Message Broker IBM MQ Experience with web-based .NET application development technologies and frameworks. Knowledge of integration technologies and protocols such as REST and SOAP. Strong PowerShell scripting and automation expertise. Desired Skills and Experience Strong background managing Oracle databases and PL/SQL development. Experience with reverse and forward proxy services and server administration. Working knowledge of ArcGIS and ArcGIS API. Experience with APIs and spatial data management. Familiarity with Java development. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Evaluation Criteria IBM ACE Technology (30 Points) Experience with: IBM ACE IBM Integration Bus (IIB) WebSphere Message Broker IBM MQ .NET Development (30 Points) Experience with web-based .NET application development technologies and frameworks. Integration Experience (20 Points) Experience with integration technologies and protocols including REST and SOAP. PowerShell Scripting (20 Points) Strong automation and scripting experience using PowerShell.
