Position: Technical Project Manager Location: Toronto, ON Job ID#: RQ11649 Duration: 6 Months Role Overview The Technical Project Manager will provide project and product management leadership for large-scale, complex, high-profile, and high-risk public-sector I&IT initiatives. The role is responsible for helping ensure project deliverables meet business requirements within established timelines, scope, and budget. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in product planning, product lifecycle management, project delivery, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, requirements management, documentation, and public-sector IT processes. The position requires strong coordination across business and technical teams and experience supporting multi-year, multi-million-dollar initiatives. Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite. Key Responsibilities Provide project management leadership for large-scale, complex, high-profile, and high-risk I&IT initiatives. Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements within established timelines, scope, and budget. Manage project and product planning activities throughout the lifecycle. Define and execute product vision and strategy. Gather, analyze, and prioritize customer and business requirements. Create and manage detailed product roadmaps. Coordinate cross-functional teams to support successful product delivery. Manage stakeholders, project risks, scope, and financial considerations for multi-year initiatives. Formulate business and technical requirements. Solve business problems and establish product visions and goals. Experience and Skill Set Requirements Product Management Experience – 50% Proven experience in product planning and lifecycle management. Skilled in defining and executing product vision and strategy. Ability to gather and prioritize customer and business requirements. Proficient in creating and managing detailed product roadmaps. Experience with public-sector project assessments, including Threat Risk Assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments, and financial analysis for multi-year projects. Proven ability to manage multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects, including stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and scope control. Expertise in formulating business and technical requirements, solving business problems, and defining product visions and goals. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams for product delivery. Technical, Deployment and Project Integration Skills – 25% Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Skilled in managing project lifecycles using tools such as Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Kanban, and Azure DevOps. Proficiency with online collaboration tools such as Miro, Microsoft Teams, Atlassian Confluence, Trello, Office 365, Google Drive, Zoom, and Slack. Documentation Skills – 20% Experience creating privacy, financial, communication, and IT documentation, including: Business cases Privacy Impact Assessments Threat Impact Assessments Requests for Service Experience creating Agile methodology artifacts, including: Roadmaps Release plans Epics Features User stories Public Sector Experience – 5% Experience with public-sector ITIL processes, including incident management, release management, problem management, and support models. Familiarity with public-sector PMO Stage Gate processes. Experience with public-sector business processes, gating procedures, project management requirements, and business rules. Must-Have Qualifications Proven experience in product planning and lifecycle management. Skilled in defining and executing product vision and strategy. Ability to gather and prioritize customer and business requirements. Proficient in creating and managing detailed product roadmaps. Experience with public-sector project assessments, such as TRA and PIA, and financial analysis for multi-year projects. Skilled in managing project lifecycles using Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Kanban, and Azure DevOps. Nice to Have Prior public-sector experience. About Symbiotic Digital.
