Sales Development Representative (SDR) Location: Remote, anywhere in Canada Type: Full Time - direct hire Our client is hiring a Sales Development Representative to support a growing startup in the B2B services space. This person will focus on engaging warm inbound leads, qualifying opportunities, booking meetings, and helping create structure in an evolving sales process. This is a founder-led business where the right person will have real ownership, direct exposure to leadership, and the chance to help shape how sales is built. You’ll be speaking directly with company owners and founders, so credibility, strong communication, and confidence in live conversations matter. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to join an earlier-stage company, make a visible impact, and grow into closing and broader sales responsibility over time. What you’ll do Manage and prioritize inbound leads from channels including website, paid media, newsletter activity, and lead magnets Engage warm prospects quickly and professionally Qualify potential clients and book meetings with the founder Run early-stage discovery and qualification calls Maintain clean pipeline tracking and follow-up discipline Keep notes, next steps, and lead status organized in the CRM Help improve lead handling and qualification workflows over time Work closely with the founder to support a strong handoff into later-stage sales conversations Contribute to building a repeatable sales process inside a growing startup What we’re looking for Experience in SDR, BDR, inside sales, or another client-facing sales role Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable speaking with founders, owners, and senior decision-makers Able to build trust quickly and handle warm sales conversations well Highly organized with strong follow-through Comfortable operating in a startup environment with some ambiguity Self-starter mindset with solid judgment and grit Interest in growing into a closer or broader sales role over time Why this role stands out Opportunity to join a startup and have visible impact early Warm inbound lead flow already exists Direct exposure to founders and business owners Clear opportunity to grow into closing responsibilities Strong long-term upside for someone who performs well
