What you’ll do
Independently manage legal files, advise clients, conduct legal research, and prepare legal documents. Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings across various areas of law, excluding criminal law, while maintaining client relationships and managing files efficiently.
Requirements
Requires at least two years of solicitor experience in Prince Edward Island or five years of civil litigation experience elsewhere in Canada, a law degree from a Canadian university or recognized equivalent, and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Prince Edward Island or eligibility to obtain it. Strong litigation experience, particularly in family law, is an asset; experience in other areas of law and strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are also sought.
