Role Description The Project Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Surrey, BC, responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for flooring and concrete projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, and developing accurate project estimates. The role involves collaborating with sales staff, project managers, and clients to clarify scope, and ensure alignment with project requirements. The Project Estimator will analyze costs, identify potential risks, and provide value-engineering recommendations to support competitive bids and profitable project delivery. This position also requires maintaining organized estimate documentation, updating estimates as project scope changes, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes. Qualifications Strong skills in Project Estimation and Construction Estimating, with experience preparing detailed cost breakdowns for construction projects. Effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients, and to present estimates clearly. Experience with construction estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital tools for quantity take-offs and cost analysis, we currently use Measuresquare if you have experience with this platform that will be considered an asset. Knowledge of flooring and concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. Ability to work on-site in Surrey, BC, manage multiple estimates simultaneously, and meet bid deadlines. Relevant education in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience will be considered an asset.
