As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting activities and play an active role in the company’s financial operations. We are looking for someone with experience working in small businesses, where multitasking and versatility are essential, who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and can quickly adapt to the evolving needs of a growing organization. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience working with ERP systems and a genuine interest in automating and improving processes within the ERP environment. Key Responsibilities: Record and maintain all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expenses, taxes (GST/QST/HST), and month-end entries. Manage supplier and customer accounts (validation, contract-based invoicing, payment and collection follow-up, and cash flow maintenance). Participate in month-end processes (bank and credit card reconciliations, amortization, accounting entries). Process payroll, source deductions, as well as the preparation, verification, and filing of tax remittances. Contribute to cash management and monitoring of financial flows. Prepare financial reports, analyses, and performance indicators (KPIs). Participate in audits (internal, external, government), prepare the year-end file, and collaborate with tax specialists and other external parties. Ensure tax and regulatory compliance, support daily operations (purchasing, AP, AR), contribute to improving internal practices and controls, and respond to other role-related requests. Optimize daily work methods to improve the operational efficiency of accounting processes. Utilize and optimize accounting software and management systems, including ERP platforms, to support financial operations. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA designation considered an asset, with 2 to 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Excellent proficiency with the MS Office suite (advanced Excel) and ERP systems, such as Maestro, SAP, or similar. Fluency in French is mandatory. Fluency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside Quebec. Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a small business environment where versatility and adaptability are essential. Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, professionalism, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve internal controls within day-to-day accounting operations.
