About The Role Systemex Automation is looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of the vision, strategy, development, and commercial success of our automation products. In this role, you will drive the vision, strategy, development, and commercial success of Systemex’s automation products. Acting as the link between the market and technical teams, you will translate customer and business needs into product requirements and work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales to bring products from concept to market. You will also oversee product development activities, ensuring deliverables meet quality, timeline, budget, and go-to-market objectives. What You'll Do Define product vision, strategy, positioning, and key messaging in alignment with Systemex's business objectives and target markets. Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities to develop sales strategies and marketing targets. Develop product strategy and business-case documentation, including use cases, technical requirements, ROI calculations, and go-to-market plans. Translate business and market requirements into clear technical specifications and collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams throughout product development and commercialization. Build a strong technical understanding of products and contribute to technical documentation, ensuring products meet compliance, usability, and customer requirements. Coordinate and monitor product development deliverables, including design, programming, assembly, and commissioning, while managing timelines, budgets, and go-to-market milestones. Lead through influence and functional matrix management by mobilizing engineers, technicians, and other resources toward common product objectives, without direct hierarchical authority. Prepare progress reports and present product development and commercialization updates to management, identifying risks, opportunities, and required actions. What You Bring Proven experience managing the full product development lifecycle, ideally within an industrial, automation, engineering, or technology environment. Strong ability to influence and mobilize technical teams without direct authority, combined with strong leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and executive-level customers. Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate business and customer needs into clear technical requirements while managing priorities, timelines, and budgets. Dynamic, autonomous, organized, and results-oriented, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to take ownership and drive initiatives forward. Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec. Why Join Systemex Automation?
