Context We are looking for an experienced EMI/ EMC Specialist for our new LRT Project Missions/Main Duties Lead the development and implementation of the EMI/EMC strategy for the SRS scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives, standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify, define, and allocate EMI/EMC requirements to relevant systems, subsystems, and interfaces across the project. Review system and equipment designs to identify EMC risks, assess potential interference issues, and define necessary mitigation measures. Coordinate EMC analyses, assessments, and testing activities, ensuring findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions are properly tracked to closure. Act as the key interface for EMC-related coordination with traction power, signalling, communications teams, and external stakeholders. Support the preparation and maintenance of assurance evidence demonstrating EMC compliance with applicable standards and project requirements. Provide technical guidance to design and engineering teams on EMI/EMC best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to risk management, design reviews, and verification activities to ensure EMC considerations are embedded from design through delivery. Profile/Skills Licenses/Certification : Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Electrical/Systems Engineering or equivalent; formal training/experience in EMC/EMI analysis and testing; relevant EMC certification considered an asset. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Systems Engineering; 15+ years’ experience in electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) on rail/transit or comparable complex systems; experience with EMC standards, modelling, mitigation and testing; experience coordinating EMC requirements across signalling, traction power, OCS, communications and third-party systems SYSTRA Canada is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce.
