Position Summary Tacten is seeking a professional and forward-thinking Journeyperson Pipefitters to join our team for the upcoming Marine Loading Arms (MLA) job at the LNG site in Kitimat, BC! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operations team while working with industry-leading rope access technology. As part of this role, all Pipefitters will receive IRATA Rope Access Training and Certification to support operations at site. Position Details: Start Date: September 7, 2026 Site/Location: LNG in Kitimat, BC. Relocation is required! Shift/Hours: 40 hrs./week and possible overtime Hourly Rate $58.00/hr. depending on certifications and experience Relocation: We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition if required. Responsibilities This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the project’s startup's success by implementing innovative work techniques, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving advancements in our operations. Installation and assembling of piping systems. Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the pipes Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and performing routine inspections to ensure the integrity of the system Testing and ensuring the quality of pipe installations Requirements Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification required IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification or a willingness to obtain - training can be provided Mechanical background and solid understanding of Hydraulic system pumps etc. Current safety certifications as required by client and provincial standards in BC Located in Kitima, BC or willing to relocate Core Competencies Strong work ethics Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients Exceptional safety and quality awareness Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level Valid driver's license Clean driver's abstract Effective communication in English Additionally, preference will be given to the candidates with the following Proficiency/experience in trades/industrial settings Familiarity with LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) operations Background in mechanical operations Benefits The strength of Tacten lies in its outstanding people.
