As we continue to grow across North America, we’re looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our Finance team. Location: This is an in -office role, located in Surrey BC. Details: This is a contract role from August 2026 – July 2027 and does have the possibility of extension. What You’ll Do: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Intermediate Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, month-end activities, reconciliations, tax remittances, and payroll entries. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting efficient and effective accounting processes. * Manage AP activities, including receiving purchase orders and invoices in the ERP system, performing three -way matching, preparing bi-weekly payment runs and vendor inquiries. * Process and apply AR payments, investigate discrepancies and respond to customer account inquiries. * Prepare weekly AR aging reports, follow up on collections, and manage customer account holds/releases. * Work with the Director of Finance to review AP/AR process and recommend improvements. * Posts payroll related journal entries * Support month-end close, preparing accruals, prepaid schedule and other reconciliations. * Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. * Prepare, reconcile and remit GST/PST and WorkSafeBC reporting and payments. * Assists with remitting monthly US sales taxes to various states. * Record and reconcile intercompany transactions. * Review and post US and Canadian customs and duty invoices. * Assist with year-end reporting, audit requests, and supporting schedules as required. * Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures and internal controls * Other tasks as required. What You’ll Bring: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA designation is not a requirement but is preferred. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment. * Demonstrated ability to deal with a large number of transactions. * Experience using SysPro will be considered an asset. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. * Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. * Highly organized and detail oriented. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting and possess at least two years of corporate accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills are required, while CPA designation and SysPro experience are considered assets.
