We empower vulnerable youth to unlock their full potential and discover their own path to success, through a full-time mental health & emotional well-being program embedded in public schools. The words of Take a Hike youth best describe the impact of the program: "Without the support from my friends and Take a Hike, I would not be the confident girl I am today. I would still be sitting at home in a dark room, playing video games, and hating the world. My future looks brighter than I ever imagined a year ago." “I have a bright future ahead of me and I realize that now.”

Co-facilitate three online Youth Advisory Circle sessions, helping create a welcoming environment and progressively taking ownership of session preparation and materials. Debrief after each session, summarize participant feedback, share alumni perspectives, and help plan the transition to a new alumni facilitator for Year 2.
On-site
Provide individual and family therapy, facilitate group counselling, and contribute mental health expertise to an interdisciplinary classroom team supporting vulnerable youth. Participate in land-based learning, field trips, and camping trips, while coordinating with families, school districts, community partners, and external support agencies.

Lead brand consistency, digital audience growth, and donor communications by developing campaigns and content across social media, the website, and email. Manage digital marketing performance, vendors, media relations, fundraising communications, and donation tools while ensuring content is on-brand and compliant with privacy and email marketing requirements.

Lead and implement people and culture strategies across employee relations, recruitment, engagement, performance, learning, total rewards, inclusion, health and safety, HR systems, and volunteer management.
