We empower vulnerable youth to unlock their full potential and discover their own path to success, through a full-time mental health & emotional well-being program embedded in public schools. The words of Take a Hike youth best describe the impact of the program: "Without the support from my friends and Take a Hike, I would not be the confident girl I am today. I would still be sitting at home in a dark room, playing video games, and hating the world. My future looks brighter than I ever imagined a year ago." “I have a bright future ahead of me and I realize that now.”

The specialist supports program teams in planning and executing land-based learning activities and multi-day trips for vulnerable youth. They manage logistics, risk assessments, and gear coordination while integrating therapeutic and academic goals into outdoor experiences.
