Intervention Supervisor

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join a Child and Family Services team as an Intervention Supervisor. In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance to frontline staff while supporting the delivery of services that prioritize the safety, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes of children and families. What the Role Offers Salary: $79,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience Northern Living Allowance Relocation support Fully employer-paid benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage RRSP matching Paid time off Access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Professional development and training opportunities What You’ll Be Doing Lead, mentor, and support a team of caseworkers delivering Child and Family Services Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and case consultation Oversee foster care and support case planning, intake, assessment, and permanency planning Participate in and support court-related work and agreement management Step into caseload support as needed Collaborate with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders Contribute to program development and continuous improvement Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff Monitor team performance, maintain statistics, and provide regular reporting on program outcomes Review and monitor program expenses and budgets Participate in on-call and intake responsibilities as required Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director What You Bring Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered) Minimum of 2 years of experience in child intervention in a supervisory capacity Delegation (or eligibility for delegation) within Alberta Registration (or eligibility) with the Alberta College of Social Workers Strong understanding of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act and related legislation Experience working with Indigenous children, families, and communities is considered an asset Knowledge of CICIO is considered an asset Skills for Success Strong leadership and team support skills Strong assessment and interviewing skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Sound judgment and decision-making in complex situations Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work collaboratively and support culturally responsive practice Additional Requirements Clear Intervention Check and Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract Why This Role This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role where your work directly supports Indigenous children, families, and communities. Lead and mentor a team of caseworkers providing child and family services while overseeing case planning and intake. Collaborate with community partners and support the Director in leadership responsibilities to ensure the wellbeing of children and families.

Requires a Bachelor of Social Work or related field and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in child intervention. Must be eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers and possess a valid driver's license and clear criminal record check.
