You'll get broad hands-on exposure across engines, brakes, electrical, transmissions, and differentials using modern diagnostic tools, with a clear track toward more senior shop positions as your skills and certifications grow. What you'll do: 🔩 Diagnose and repair heavy duty trucks and fleet vehicles — engines, brakes, steering, fuel systems 🔩 Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections 🔩 Requisition and track parts to keep repairs moving 🔩 Document work orders accurately for billing, inventory, and KPI tracking 🔩 Mentor apprentices and journeymen as you grow into a senior role What you bring: ✅ Red Seal Journeyman (Truck & Transport Mechanic) or well underway toward it ✅ Government Safety Inspection, Air Brake, and Ozone Depletion Prevention certifications ✅ Post-secondary training in Heavy Duty, Automotive, or Transport Maintenance ✅ Valid Class G license with clean record (Class 1 w/ Air Brakes a plus) ✅ Strong mechanical know-how and comfort working independently under pressure This is a full-time, onsite role with a team that runs on structured PM programs and clear KPIs — not putting out fires all day.
