Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Unix/Linux servers across development, test, staging, and production environments. Perform day-to-day system administration activities including user/group management, file systems, permissions, processes, services, disk space, and resource utilization. Monitor server health, CPU, memory, storage, processes, and system performance, and proactively address potential issues. Troubleshoot complex Unix/Linux infrastructure and application-related issues and perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents. Perform patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, configuration changes, and system maintenance in accordance with enterprise change-management processes. Develop and maintain Shell/Bash scripts to automate routine administration, monitoring, housekeeping, and operational activities. Manage file systems, storage utilization, mounts, scheduled jobs, log rotation, and system backups. Support production incidents, service requests, problem management, and change management while meeting defined SLA requirements. Work closely with application, database, network, middleware, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues. Perform system capacity and performance analysis and recommend improvements to enhance stability and availability. Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, configuration details, and knowledge-base articles. Participate in on-call, after-hours, weekend, and shift-based production support as required. Ensure adherence to organizational security standards, access controls, audit requirements, and infrastructure best practices.
