As a Contracts Estimator – Engineering, you will play a key role in supporting business growth by preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable project estimates and proposals. Working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams, you'll analyze project requirements, develop cost-effective solutions, and help secure new business opportunities. WHAT YOU'LL DO Prepare accurate project estimates, quotations, and proposals by reviewing specifications, drawings, and customer requirements. Analyze Labour, material, and production costs while obtaining pricing from vendors and suppliers. Collaborate with customers to define project scope and recommend practical, cost-effective engineering solutions. Coordinate with internal teams to support project planning, resolve technical issues, and ensure estimates align with project requirements. Monitor project costs, maintain estimating databases, and prepare proposal documentation. Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up to support successful project outcomes. WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL Experience preparing engineering estimates, quotations, and proposals for industrial or electrical projects. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A customer-focused, collaborative professional committed to quality, continuous improvement, and delivering profitable, innovative solutions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The position requires Electrical Design or Engineering credentials or an Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma with a minimum of 1-5 years of industry experience including project management and quotations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
