Job Title: IT Support Engineer – Desktop & CAD Systems Location: Montreal, Quebec Work Mode: 100% On-Site Experience: 3 to 5 Years Rate: $32 to $35 CAD per hour Role Summary We are hiring for this position where the selected candidate will support end-user technology and workplace systems in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on delivering a smooth and reliable user experience while handling desktop support, hardware, and software issues. Key Responsibilities Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, and workplace devices Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware, including Lenovo, MacBook, tablets, and phones Support operating systems, enterprise applications, and productivity tools Act as the go-to IT contact for end users and help manage expectations effectively Handle incoming requests, track issues, and ensure timely resolution through ticketing systems Manage hardware inventory, including shipping, receiving, and asset tracking Maintain accurate records of IT assets using internal systems Assist with the deployment of devices and software across the organization Create and update technical documentation and knowledge base articles Troubleshoot issues across systems, including OS, applications, printers, and collaboration tools Work closely with other IT teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues Ensure all support requests meet defined service levels and timelines Provide end-user training and guidance when needed Help improve support processes and workflows Must-Have Skills 3 to 5 years of experience in IT customer service or desktop support Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Mac OS environments Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, and email support Familiarity with Azure and Active Directory Experience with AutoPilot imaging and device deployment Knowledge of ticketing tools such as ServiceNow Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network basics Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service mindset with a focus on user experience Experience with asset management, inventory handling, and record keeping Nice-to-Have Skills Experience supporting Zoom Rooms or similar collaboration tools Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and infrastructure teams Exposure to process improvement initiatives in IT support Understanding of shipping and receiving workflows in IT operations CompTIA A+ certification HDI certification Microsoft MCP certification Interested in this opportunity?
