About the Role: Currently, we are seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our growing team as a Raise Bore Operator in Ontario. We are actively looking to fill multiple positions. This position plays a critical role in overseeing the safe and efficient execution of raise boring operations to support the continued success of our underground projects. The key responsibilities of the Raise bore Operator include but are not limited to: Operate raise boring machines to drill vertical and inclined shafts according to project specifications Perform setup, alignment, and operation of raise boring equipment (pilot and reaming stages) Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as required to maintain accuracy and efficiency Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance Ensure proper handling of consumables, tooling, and support equipment Work closely with supervisors and crews to ensure safe and productive operations Complete safety inspections of workplace and actively identify and report hazards Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of underground experience, with direct experience in raise boring operations Hands-on experience operating raise boring equipment (e.g., Robbins, Atlas Copco/Epiroc, or similar) Must have obtained Basic Underground Common Core (770010 - Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner) including U0072 Operate Raise Bore Knowledge of raise boring techniques, tools, and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Commitment to safety and continuous improvement Must be willing to travel to project sites within Ontario Schedule: 14 on 14 off schedule Why Choose Technica? Requirements
Candidates must have at least 2 years of underground experience and hold a Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner certification. Proficiency in operating raise boring equipment such as Robbins or Epiroc is required, along with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
