Job details

Company Description Techo-Bloc designs and manufactures premium hardscape products (pavers, slabs, walls, steps and outdoor living features) that end up in backyards, patios and public spaces across North America. What started as an entrepreneurial bet in Quebec has grown into an 850+ person team with production plants across Canada and the United States, and a proud Canada’s Best Managed Companies award winner. Our founder, Charles Ciccarello, likes to say: “We didn’t fit the mold, so we made our own.” That mindset still drives how we work: ambitious, hands-on, and always looking for a better way. Job Description You’re the planner people turn to when things get complicated. You see the bottleneck coming three weeks out, you know why the KPI moved, and you’d rather fix the process than firefight the same problem twice. At Techo-Bloc, we’re looking for that person to become the go-to planning expert of our Saint-Hubert team. You’ll own the schedule for key lines, shape our short, medium and long-term plans, build better tools, and help grow the next generation of planners. Your ideas won’t sit in a deck: you’ll have the room and the backing to implement them. Why you’ll love this role A real planning challenge. Strong seasonality, high-volume peaks, a wide range of SKUs, colors and textures. This is planning at its most interesting. Influence that counts. You’ll work side by side with the Planning Manager and have a direct voice with production, procurement and sales. Room to build. We expect you to improve how we plan, from tools and templates to processes and KPIs, not just run the existing system. A leadership role, without the org chart. Mentor planners and set the standard for the team. A company that grows its people. Over 850 employees, a growing North American footprint, and career paths in almost every department. Close to home for the South Shore. No bridge, no downtown commute. What you’ll do Plan for today and for the season ahead Own the daily and weekly production schedule for your assigned lines and keep orders accurate in our MRP/ERP system. Translate demand forecasts into realistic plans aligned with actual capacity, over the short, medium and long term. Anticipate capacity, bottleneck and sequencing risks, and work with the Planning Manager to address them before they hit the floor. Turn data into decisions Analyze demand, trends and historical data to spot risks and opportunities early. Prevent stockouts and excess inventory before they have an impact. Drive KPI performance (service level, changeovers, excess inventory, backorder lead time): understand the trends, propose actions and follow them through. Make planning better Turn day-to-day pain points into lasting fixes: build the tools, adjust the processes, measure the results. Lead corrective actions and confirm they actually worked. Lead through expertise Be the team’s go-to planning expert. Coach and onboard planners, and pass on best practices, procedures and tool know-how. Collaborate proactively with sales on demand and priorities, and with production and procurement on execution. Qualifications What you bring Must-haves 5+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment. A track record of moving KPIs and leading process improvement initiatives. Come ready to tell us about one. Strong MRP/ERP proficiency and advanced Excel skills. An analytical, strategic mind, combined with the rigor to keep the details right. The ability to influence and coach others, with or without a title. Fluency in French and English, as you’ll work regularly with our colleagues in Ontario and the US. Nice-to-haves A degree in operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain or a related field. Experience with seasonal or high-mix / high-volume production. Experience with S&OP processes, Power BI or other analytics tools. APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or Lean / Six Sigma training. Additional Information What we offer Competitive compensation and a bonus plan Group insurance plans RRSP with employer contribution 24/7 telemedicine and Employee Assistance Program Weekly one-on-ones with your manager to tackle challenges, celebrate wins and plan your growth Thousands of hours of training every year, and real support to take that course or learn that new tool Clear career paths: we have interns who became department directors in under 10 years Discounts on Techo-Bloc products (your own backyard will thank you) Team events and an employee referral program Ready to raise the bar for our planning team? Apply today. A résumé is all we need, no cover letter required. We’ll get back to you quickly. Techo-Bloc is committed to an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
