Job summary

Our Client is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to support the Cancer Screening Project by designing, developing, and implementing secure, cloud-native serverless solutions. The successful candidate will build and manage AWS infrastructure, automate deployments, develop CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure integration of healthcare applications while meeting privacy and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and manage secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, AWS CDK). Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway. Build, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and Jenkins. Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, and compliance controls. Deploy and manage scalable, highly available cloud environments for healthcare applications. Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or OpenSearch. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions. Create technical documentation, infrastructure runbooks, and support knowledge transfer activities. Must-Have Skills Extensive AWS cloud experience. Strong expertise with AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK (Python & Node.js). Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, RDS, and DynamoDB. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or Jenkins. Strong knowledge of AWS security, IAM, and cloud governance. Experience working in healthcare environments with PHIPA/HIPAA compliance. Experience with Smile CDR, AWS HealthLake, SMART on FHIR, and OpenText NetIQ IAM. Experience with AWS Pinpoint or enterprise SMS/email messaging solutions. Public sector experience is required. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Node.js. Nice-to-Have Skills AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Certified Security Specialty. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon EKS. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. Knowledge of AWS Security Hub, Inspector, and Systems Manager (SSM). Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Datadog, or Splunk. Familiarity with AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS) or cloud resiliency testing. Experience with Agile, Jira, and Confluence. Previous experience delivering large-scale healthcare or digital transformation projects.
