Systems Testing / QA Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support large-scale enterprise applications within the Government Services Integration Cluster. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and automating testing activities across web and mobile applications while ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform functional, system integration, regression, user acceptance (UAT), load, security, penetration, and accessibility (AODA) testing. Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts across multiple applications. Plan and coordinate testing activities for both GUI and non-GUI systems. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test data requirements. Validate and generate test data using SQL queries. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Azure DevOps. Participate in and lead defect triage meetings, providing defect analysis and summary reports. Execute system integration testing and support user acceptance testing. Must-Have Skills 5 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) and Systems Testing. Strong experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and test case creation. Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing, including automation script development. Extensive experience with Functional, Regression, System Integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Experience performing Security, Penetration, Load, Black Box, and Accessibility (AODA) testing. Proven experience creating Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts. Strong experience leading defect triage meetings, managing defects, and producing defect reports. Excellent SQL skills for creating, validating, and extracting test data. Experience working in Agile/Scrum/DevOps environments. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience testing web and mobile applications across multiple platforms. Knowledge of HTML5, Java, AngularJS, and front-end technologies. Experience with accessibility testing tools (Screen Readers, WAI-ARIA, Colour Contrast, Syntax Checking). Knowledge of UX/UI principles and accessibility best practices. Experience providing accessibility remediation recommendations to development teams. Bilingual testing experience. Previous experience working on large-scale public sector or enterprise applications.

The specialist will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and automated scripts for web and mobile applications. They are also responsible for identifying defects, leading triage meetings, and collaborating with technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Candidates must have 5 to 10 years of experience in Software QA and systems testing within Agile environments. Proficiency in Azure DevOps, SQL, and various testing methodologies including security and accessibility is required.
