Category Manager – Assets & Facilities Location: Burnaby, BC Work Model: Full-time onsite (5 days/week) Overview We’re looking for a Category Manager to lead procurement for assets, equipment, and facilities-related services. This role will drive category strategy, supplier management, and sourcing initiatives across a diverse portfolio including lab equipment, infrastructure, and facility services. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute category strategies for equipment and capital assets Lead strategic sourcing, RFPs, and supplier negotiations Manage vendor relationships and contract agreements Analyze spend, market trends, and cost drivers Ensure supply continuity and supplier performance Partner with stakeholders across operations, facilities, and technical teams Identify cost savings and value creation opportunities Category Scope Laboratory and technical equipment Facility and infrastructure equipment Office and workplace assets Maintenance, engineering, and facility services What You Bring 10+ years in procurement, sourcing, or category management Experience with capital equipment or facilities categories Strong negotiation and supplier management skills Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders Strong analytical and commercial mindset Nice to Have Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or technical environments ERP systems (SAP preferred)
