Job summary
Role Overview As a Solutions Analyst at Teifi Digital, you're the blueprinter. Where the Business Analyst captures what the client needs, you define how we'll build it, turning requirements into detailed design specifications, data maps, API mappings, and annotated designs that a developer can pick up and execute without guessing. You'll structure requirements into epics that shape the backlog, configure Shopify to deliver the functional requirements, demo sprint output to the client, own the launch checklist, and stay close through hypercare to stabilize the solution in production. This is the senior end of the analyst track: you're expected to make technical calls, spot the coupling and edge cases before they cost us a sprint, and raise the quality of the requirements coming your way. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Backlog Structure Refine requirements and high level solutions that guide development. Organize requirements into epics and logical groupings that structure the backlog and feed sprint planning. Partner with the Business Analyst to enrich user stories with design and technical context until they meet the Definition of Ready. Data & API Mapping Document how data fields and structures in source systems map to the target solution for accurate migration and integration. Map the API endpoints, fields, and data flows required to connect the solution with third-party and client systems. Design & Platform Configuration Add build-ready annotations to designs in Figma so developers have the technical detail behind each screen and component. Configure Shopify settings, flows, apps, and platform features required to deliver the solution's functional requirements. Client Touchpoints & Launch Prepare and present sprint demos, giving the client a regular touchpoint for feedback and validation. Own the detailed launch checklist covering the steps and readiness items required to move into production. Hypercare & Production Support Provide post-launch support through the hypercare window, identifying issues and helping stabilize the solution in production. Qualifications Must have hands-on experience configuring Shopify (B2B, metafields, flow, theme, apps, etc). Several years' experience as a Solutions Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Technical BA, Product Owner or similar, on eCommerce or systems integration projects. Strong working knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem Shopify Plus, apps, metafields, Flow, app proxies, checkout extensibility with hands-on configuration experience. Demonstrated ability to write detailed design specifications a developer can build from without back-and-forth. Fluency with integration concepts: REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, authentication, data synchronization, and field-level mapping between systems. Experience with data migration mapping across products, pricing, inventory, orders, and customers. Comfortable annotating designs in Figma and collaborating closely with designers and developers. Experience structuring and maintaining backlogs in Linear or Jira, and documenting in Notion or similar. Confident presenting to clients, including demoing work and explaining technical decisions in plain language. Experience supporting a launch and post-launch hypercare period. Self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects, and mentor more junior analysts. Benefits & Perks Ongoing professional development through training programs, certifications, and peer mentorship Hybrid work model depending on role, with a Granville Island office and free on-site parking Flexibility in work hours designed to accommodate appointments and personal responsibilities Comprehensive health and dental coverage in Canada, plus a health spending account Paid office closure between Christmas and New Year’s Regular team culture events, stocked office snacks, and a dog friendly workplace Performance based bonus opportunities for full-time employees We are an equal opportunity employer and love diversity at our company!
