Job summary

Location: Vancouver, Canada / Remote Must be available during Pacific Time Zone business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST). Long-term engagement with a leading financial institution. Key Responsibilities Define and drive the overall QA automation strategy and roadmap. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA automation engineers. Establish automation best practices, coding standards, and quality processes. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams. Lead automation efforts across web, API, and integration testing. Evaluate and recommend modern automation tools, frameworks, and technologies. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to automation standards. Analyze testing bottlenecks and continuously improve automation coverage and execution efficiency. Support test planning, estimation, and release activities. Drive quality engineering initiatives and shift-left testing practices. Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills 12+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation. Strong hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver .NET / C# Playwright Test automation framework design and development Experience with API automation tools and frameworks. Strong understanding of test design patterns and automation architecture. Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks and practices. Experience with source control systems such as Git. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality engineering principles. Experience in financial services, banking, or credit union environments. Preferred Skills Experience with performance and load testing tools. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure. Experience with AI-assisted testing and intelligent test automation solutions. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Leadership Requirements Proven experience leading QA automation teams. Ability to define automation strategy at an enterprise level. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience mentoring and coaching team members. Ability to influence quality practices across development and business teams.

What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires over 12 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation with strong hands-on expertise in .NET, C#, and Playwright. Candidates must have proven leadership experience and a background in financial services or banking environments.
