Job summary

About the Company This is a early-stage health technology company building clinical infrastructure that helps licensed providers deliver specialist-level care at scale. The platform combines LLM-powered clinical intelligence with patient- and provider-facing applications, and the company works directly with employers to expand access to high-quality specialty care. The team has moved quickly since launch, shipping across web and mobile, and is entering a new growth phase. The Role This is the most senior technical seat in the company, reporting directly to the Co-Founder & CEO, and it's built for someone who wants to build, not just manage. You'll set technical direction, make foundational architecture calls, and stay hands-on writing production code while the engineering organization is still taking shape. Over time, the scope of this role is expected to grow into the company's top technical leadership position. The right person treats this as company-building rather than just a job: comfortable with ambiguity, quick to ship, and just as focused on architecture as execution. What You Will Do Set the technical vision and architecture for a fast-moving clinical platform, and stay hands-on writing and shipping production code every week Design secure, reliable systems built to scale across multiple product lines and jurisdictions Partner directly with the CEO and clinical leadership to translate product strategy into technical execution Build and scale AI-powered infrastructure, including LLM-driven features and retrieval-based systems Establish the engineering practices, hiring bar, and team culture as the org grows from the ground up What You Bring Proven experience building and scaling software platforms from an early stage, ideally in a fast-growing startup environment Strong backend engineering skills in languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Go Experience architecting distributed, cloud-native systems on AWS or Azure Hands-on experience with LLM-powered products, RAG, or agentic AI systems Sharp product instincts and the communication skills to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including investors Why This Role This is a rare chance to be the founding technical hire at a company solving a genuinely hard problem in healthcare access, with real influence over both the architecture and the direction of the business. You'll work in close partnership with the founders, build the engineering team from scratch, and have a direct hand in shaping what "great engineering" looks like as the company scales. For someone who wants ownership over building something rather than inheriting a system, this is that kind of seat.
