Job summary

Release Manager Full Time Toronto, ON Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and Maintain Build/Release Environment: Create and manage the build environment, source code control system, and issue tracking systems. • Design and Implement Build Procedures: Support software product development by designing and implementing build procedures. • Coordinate with Delivery Teams: Work closely with development and quality managements teams to ensure release items and packages are promoted to stage environments properly. • Manage Build and Release Schedules: Create and manage schedules for releases and environment usage, ensuring timely releases. • Automate Processes: Automate the compilation, continuous integration, packaging and distribution of release components. • Software Version Control: Maintain version control and manage periodic deployment schedules. • Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve build or deployment problems, collaborating with developers and testers. • Document Processes: Document build and release processes and ensure adherence to these procedures. Manage documentation in confluence pages and jira boards for release management tasks and initiatives. • Optimize Release Activities: Ensure efficient compiling, packaging, delivering, and launching of software applications. • Manage ServiceNow Change tickets: Ensure Change Management requirements are met for each of the delivery teams for all releases. Collaborate with CM management to make sure quality of release packages and process are high. Manage hotfix and business-as-usual change tickets for production delivery. Required Skills: • 2+ years of experience in release management or DevOps roles, with a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes. • Technical Proficiency: Experience with version/source control systems (Git), automated build processes (Jenkins/Copado/Autorabit), and methodologies like Agile or Scrum.Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks. • Cloud Platforms: Experience in deploying applications to cloud services (e.g., Salesforce, AWS, Adobe). • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds and deployments. • Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with development and testing teams. • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing schedules and ensuring high-quality standards in software releases.Ensuring release requirements and readiness. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Project experience in software development or DevOps environments. • CI/CD Tools experience (e.g., Jenkins, Copado, AutoRabit, GitLab CI) • Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS, Salesforce, Mulesoft). • Proficient in Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow • Certifications in Salesforce, AWS, Mulesoft are a plus
