Job Location: Vaughan State/Province Ontario Pay: CA$40.83 per hour Job Description Telecon is looking for a Directional Driller to join our growing team. This role is based out of yard in Vaughan, Ontario. This role is paying $40.83 per hour plus all of the extra below: Comprehensive Benefits and Pension Plan through LiUNA. Opportunities for growth. Employee perks such as discounts from suppliers on various products and services such as insurance, wireless bundles, movie tickets, travel, software, books, and much more Working under the supervision of the Foreman, the Directional Driller will Operate a Directional Drilling machine and drive the support vehicle (s) used to transport this equipment to various project sites. You Will Have The Opportunity To Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free. Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner. Complete Driver’s logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports. Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work. Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing. In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct. Trouble shoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution. Able to operate the drill locater as required. Other duties as required. THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: Valid Class A driver's license with ‘R’ or ‘Z’ endorsement an asset. Must have similar previous drilling experience and working around existing buried utilities. Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs). Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be fully proficient with CVOR and Book 7 requirements. Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety. training as per legislative and job requirements. IS THIS YOU?
