Location: Toronto, ON Employment Type: Full-Time, daily in-person Salary: $58,000–$75,000 CAD annually, depending on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Global Mobility Coordinator to manage international relocation and transportation files from initial planning through final delivery. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys coordinating multiple moving parts, communicating with customers and international partners, and taking ownership of files throughout the entire relocation process. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, overseas partners, transportation providers, customs contacts, and internal teams to ensure relocations are completed accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of customer service. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of complex international relocation files. You should be able to anticipate potential issues, communicate clearly with customers and partners, and coordinate multiple parties without losing sight of timelines or details. Experience within international moving, global mobility, household goods relocation, freight forwarding, or international logistics would be particularly relevant. Key Responsibilities Manage international relocation files from initiation through successful completion and final delivery. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the relocation process. Coordinate requirements with international agents, transportation providers, customs representatives, and internal departments. Guide customers through documentation and customs requirements associated with the international shipment of personal effects. Gather, review, and distribute documentation required for international transportation and customs clearance. Prepare detailed pickup, transportation, freight, and delivery instructions based on individual relocation requirements. Coordinate ocean, air, and ground transportation depending on shipment requirements and destination. Request rates, negotiate transportation arrangements, and book freight with appropriate carriers and service providers. Monitor shipments throughout transit and proactively communicate status updates, delays, or changes to customers and business partners. Explain available shipment insurance options and ensure applicable information is properly documented. Review vendor and transportation invoices for accuracy and identify discrepancies when necessary. Maintain accurate shipment, customer, and operational information within the company's relocation or transportation management system. Respond to customer inquiries and assist with questions relating to moving, shipping, delivery, documentation, and international relocation requirements. Work proactively to resolve logistical issues and keep relocations progressing according to schedule. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, international partners, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Preferably experience in logistics, transportation coordination, international moving, relocation services, freight forwarding, or a comparable environment. College diploma or university degree. Previous experience with international household goods or personal-effects shipments is strongly preferred. Understanding of customs documentation and international shipping procedures is considered a strong asset. Experience coordinating air, ocean, and/or ground transportation is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously. High level of attention to detail and follow-through. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating directly with customers, vendors, carriers, and international business partners. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requirements, and make sound decisions when unexpected issues arise. Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, customer-focused approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Comfortable learning transportation, relocation, or logistics management software. Interest in using modern technology and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and administrative efficiency.
