Work setting Willing to relocate Health care institution, facility or clinic Physician's office Responsibilities Tasks Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team Coordinate patient care Evaluate patient care and progress Interpret medical test results Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests Plan patient care Provide end-of-life counselling and bereavement support to patients and their families Care for, assess and monitor the health of newborns and refer infants to appropriate medical services as required Provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborns and young infants Provide primary, full-course, care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-natal period including monitoring the health of mother and baby Advise patients on health care Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner by the province/territory of work Additional information Personal suitability Accurate Dependability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Initiative Interpersonal awareness Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Health care plan Financial benefits Bonus Other Benefits Variable or compressed work week
