Job summary
Job Title: Technical Field Advisor (Millwright) - Grimsby/ Hamilton, ON Reporting to the Parts & Service Manager, the Technical Field Advisor (TFA) shall provide support in all areas pertaining to field installation, inspections, repairs/troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance and support for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime Conduct on-site evaluations to analyze systems, equipment, and processes, identifying areas for improvement or troubleshooting. Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to travel 75% of the year A valid passport and the ability to travel without restrictions is required. Carry a class “G” or higher drivers license with the ability to provide a Valid clear driver's abstract within thirty (30) days of hire date Role requires flexibility for emergency breakdowns or late scheduling changes occur. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Education and Experience: Relevant certification such as 433A is an asset/or strong background in machine assembly will be considered as equivalent.
