Company Description Tesaria is a premium graphic and web design boutique based in British Columbia, Canada, focused on delivering refined and accessible digital and brand experiences. The studio specializes in sustainable packaging design, brand identity systems, website modernization, mobile app interfaces, and signage and wayfinding solutions. Accessibility is central to Tesaria’s work, with WCAG 2.2 AA compliance built into projects from the outset. Team members collaborate with elite specialists across disciplines to produce timeless, user-centered solutions for discerning clients. Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Senior Full-Stack Web Developer focused on municipal and public sector projects. The developer will design, build, and maintain accessible, WCAG-compliant web applications and sites, working across front-end and back-end stacks. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting solutions, implementing responsive user interfaces, integrating APIs and data sources, managing deployments, and optimizing performance and security. The role involves collaborating with designers, content specialists, and client stakeholders to translate strategic requirements into robust technical implementations, as well as documenting code, conducting code reviews, and supporting ongoing maintenance and enhancements for public-facing digital services. Qualifications Strong front-end development skills in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar), with a focus on responsive, accessible interfaces. Solid back-end development experience with one or more server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, or PHP/Laravel) and RESTful API design. Proficiency with databases and data modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL systems), including query optimization and integration with application layers. Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2), semantic markup, ARIA, and inclusive design practices for public-sector or civic websites. Knowledge of modern DevOps practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, cloud hosting (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar), and basic containerization. Background working with municipal, government, or public sector clients, including familiarity with security, privacy, and regulatory considerations. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional environment and manage project timelines independently.
