Employer Name: Thai Lam Investment Ltd. - Aloha Renovation Primary Location: Main meeting point at the Langley Office (20760 Duncan Way, Langley, BC V3A 9J6), with local job sites across Metro Vancouver. Travel Requirements: Occasional willingness to travel out-of-province to Saint John, New Brunswick to oversee company projects as required. All business travel and accommodation costs covered by employer. Salary: $40.00 per hour Terms of Employment: Full-Time, Permanent (35–40 hours per week) Benefits: WorkSafeBC coverage provided, plus standard statutory vacation pay. Language of Work: English Job Duties & Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Scheduling: Plan project timelines, sequence renovation tasks, and allocate site workers effectively to meet tight project deadlines. Multi-Site & Interprovincial Supervision: Oversee Metro Vancouver renovation projects and travel periodically to Saint John, New Brunswick, to inspect company work sites, manage local progress, and ensure structural standards are met. Material Management: Estimate required construction supplies, order materials in advance, and coordinate deliveries to avoid site delays. Quality & Code Compliance: Inspect work quality at all stages to ensure residential renovations meet current building code standards, local municipal bylaws, and safety regulations. Client Relations & Customer Satisfaction: Serve as the primary on-site contact, communicate project progress to property owners/investors, and resolve any customer concerns to ensure complete satisfaction upon project delivery. Hands-On Construction Work: Construct wood framing, install drywall (board, tape, mud, sand, paint), install doors/trim, and lay vinyl/laminate/tile flooring. Bathroom & Kitchen Installations: Install bathroom waterproofing systems, basic plumbing fixtures (faucets, shower systems, toilets), and assemble/install kitchen cabinets and vanities. Site Operations: Safely operate tile-cutting and wood-cutting power tools, perform structural demolition, and handle waste disposal. Requirements & Qualifications: Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or trade diploma equivalent. Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on residential construction or renovation experience, including supervisory or team lead experience. Travel Willingness: Must be willing and able to travel out-of-province (Saint John, NB) periodically for short-term project oversight. Transportation: Valid driver's license or reliable ability to arrive at the Langley office meet point daily for local crew transportation. Physical Capabilities: Physically fit, able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), bend, stand for long periods, and work on active job sites.
