Thames Skills Academy is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that supports skills, training and workforce development across the tidal Thames. Working with employers, industry bodies and public-sector partners, Thames Skills Academy helps strengthen safety, professionalism and career development throughout the river community. Our members include the Port of London Authority, Transport for London, Tideway, Company of Watermen & Lightermen, City of London and the passenger and tug operators on the Thames.

Safely operate and maintain vessels in accordance with the Thames Clipper Safety Management System and relevant legislation, while meeting service delivery standards. Lead the onboard team, oversee ship management and incident reporting, protect revenue through ticket inspections, and deliver a high-quality passenger experience.
