Job summary
Your Next Challenge Starts Here At ALDO Group, we believe legal teams should be business enablers, not roadblocks. We're looking for a curious, business-minded Legal Counsel to join our international legal team and help support a fast-moving global retail organization. This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer early in their career who is eager to learn, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact. You don't need to have all the answers on day one—we're looking for someone who brings strong judgment, a growth mindset, and a genuine interest in understanding the business behind the legal questions. You'll work closely with colleagues across Canada and the U.S., providing practical legal advice on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, ESG/CSR initiatives, marketing and advertising, privacy, consumer protection, and more. What You'll Be Doing · Partner with business teams to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice. · Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements. · Support a broad range of legal, corporate, governance, and compliance matters. · Serve as a key legal contact for North American corporate matters. · Contribute to ESG/CSR, privacy, consumer protection, and marketing initiatives. · Collaborate closely with members of the legal team on strategic projects and emerging legal issues. What We're Looking For · Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar. · 0–3 years of experience in private practice and/or an in-house legal department, ideally with exposure to commercial law. · Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. · A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving. · Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Highly responsive, service-oriented, and collaborative. · Adaptable and comfortable navigating changing business needs. · Fluent in both French and English. · Comfortable leveraging AI tools and technology to work smarter and drive efficiency. Why Join ALDO Group? Because you'll do more than practice law. You'll work alongside talented people, gain exposure to a wide variety of legal and business matters, and have the opportunity to develop your expertise in an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. If you're looking for a place where you can grow, challenge yourself, and make a real impact from day one, we'd love to hear from you. Step into a role where legal meets business, curiosity is encouraged, and growth never stops. #LI-NM1
