Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site entry-level barista role located in Victoria, BC. The Barista will prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to café standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the point-of-sale system, handling cash and card transactions, and keeping the service area clean and organized. The role also includes basic food prep, stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and supporting smooth workflow during busy periods. The Entry-Level Barista will work closely with the team, follow health and safety guidelines, and provide friendly, attentive customer service. Qualifications Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Barista skills or an interest in learning espresso preparation, drink crafting, and coffee fundamentals. Basic food preparation skills and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and learning. Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or food service is an asset but not required. Availability for full-time shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
