Job details
Permanent Full Time - ClaimSecure, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada Life, is a leading third-party payer and pharmacy benefits manager in the group insurance industry, supporting thousands of benefit plan sponsors and millions of plan members. As VP & Chief Commercial Officer, you will be one of ClaimSecure's senior leaders and will help shape the direction and performance of the business. You will lead our commercial and client service agenda, serve as executive sponsor for key clients and partners, and work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on profitability, revenue growth and the continued evolution of ClaimSecure. This is an opportunity for an experienced industry leader to take on broad decision-making responsibility in a smaller, fast-paced and entrepreneurial business. You will combine deep knowledge of the third-party payer and administrator market with strong client leadership, commercial judgement and a company-wide mindset to strengthen existing relationships, create new products and services, and position ClaimSecure for future growth. What you will do • Build and deepen relationships with key third-party administrators, insurance brokers and advisors, and other major clients, serving as executive sponsors and engaging confidently with brokers, trustees, senior executives and other industry stakeholders. • Protect and grow the ClaimSecure business by retaining existing clients, pursuing new revenue opportunities and expanding ClaimSecure's products and services. • Lead and support the sales organisation by coaching leaders and teams, strengthening sales practices and positioning resources to respond effectively to client and market opportunities. • Develop a strong understanding of ClaimSecure's sales, clinical and pharmacy revenue streams, Client Services, operations, plan management, implementation processes and evolving systems capabilities. • Partner across the business to adapt existing offerings to new systems capabilities and develop new products, services and revenue opportunities. • Provide leadership and oversight for Client Services, identifying opportunities to improve practices, strengthen client experiences and better support existing clients. • Exercise broad decision-making accountability across the portfolio, collaborating with the CEO and senior leaders on material issues while providing clear direction within areas of responsibility. • Build strong working relationships across Canada Life where teams and capabilities intersect with or support ClaimSecure's business and growth opportunities. What you will bring • Deep knowledge of the third-party payer and health benefit plan administrator market and broader group benefits ecosystem, supported by established relationships and credibility with brokers, administrators, trustees and industry stakeholders. • A strong track record of managing critical client relationships, with the executive presence and judgement to represent ClaimSecure and build confidence among senior decision-makers. • Commercial leadership experience with demonstrated revenue responsibility, strong financial acumen and an understanding of profit and loss accountability; prior full P&L ownership is particularly valuable. • The ability to lead through others by coaching experienced sales and business leaders, strengthening commercial practices and helping teams pursue growth opportunities. • A company-wide leadership mindset and the breadth to operate beyond a functional remit, contributing to decisions that shape ClaimSecure's performance, profitability and future direction. • Strong organizational judgement and change leadership, with the ability to develop succession plans, evolve capabilities and assume broader senior management responsibilities as the organization changes. • A collaborative, pragmatic approach to decision-making, paired with the confidence to operate with meaningful autonomy in a smaller, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. • Operational experience or exposure is an asset but is not required.- Career opportunities will be open a minimum of 5 business days from the date of posting, closing dates will vary depending on the search activity. All applications received will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Grow with Canada Life We’re united by a shared purpose: to improve the financial, physical and mental well-being of Canadians.
