The Child Development Centre is located in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. We are a team of approximately 50 employees in a number of different professions, including speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, developmental therapists, therapy assistants, and psychologists. We also have employees with backgrounds in nursing, teaching, social work, counselling and administration. Therapists work in transdisciplinary teams to provide support to children and their families. The Child Development Centre is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1979. We have grown a lot since then, and now have over 50 dedicated staff in Whitehorse and the communities and see over 1000 children a year. A board of directors is responsible for policy and governance of the Centre.

The speech-language pathologist will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services for children aged birth to five years as part of a transdisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include traveling to rural communities to deliver quality early intervention services.

Provide support to children in the early kindergarten program and the community following specific programs developed by the outreach team. Collaborate with families, school staff, and the Child Development Centre team while maintaining necessary documentation.
