Job summary
[We had interns leave for job positions] THE COMMONS XR would sincerely like to thank the current internship cohort and look forward to the next cohort of interns. As such we are seeking unpaid interns who are pursuing FrontEnd/Fullstack professional experiences. While you will be working on state of the art projects to improve your skills in the profession, you allow us the opportunity to have you run through our experiences on Friday AM to better align our data with AI modeling. You must have a foundation in our platforms to be able to learn, train and apply your knowledge. Please note that you will be asked to complete an assignment for us to better understand your foundational knowledge of React and JS. Once you apply, note that you will have a questionnaire and Homework assignment. Our company is about creating a platform for better social/emotional personal development as well as helping navigate social challenges, through the use of the next generation tools (MetaVerse and AI modeling). You will be working alongside myself (CEO/CTO) and our FS team. Please make sure your GIT shows some recent technology projects. You must be available Friday AMs (9-11 AM PST) for our standup and simulated immersive experiences. Please do not apply if these times are not available. Preferred start dates are as soon as possible, but different times may be allowed. Remember, we can ask about anything on your resume. We anticipate a commitment of at least 12 hours/week for those of you still in school, whereas OPT will be expected (required) 20 hours/week of training/experience building. Our Environment REACT, JS, AWS Cloud (SQL, NSQL, API), Plotly.js , Python, BaSH, Visual Studio, GSuite, Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, Git, SiteGround (Wordpress/PHP) Responsibilities Design and implement responsive web pages. Write clean, robust, and reusable code and web components. Collaborate with our data team to embed data visualization. Interact with backend custom backend APIs to retrieve and cache user data. Required Skills (clearly indicate if you have these skills in wellfound communication) Fundamental knowledge of React Fundamental knowledge of JavaScript Experience at least one dashboarding or graphing tool (Plotly.js, 3djs, PowerBi ) Experience with HTML and CSS Experience with version control solutions, Github preferred Preferred Skill (clearly indicate if you have these skills in wellfound communication) Fundamental Knowledge of Python Experience working with REST APIs. Integration with Web Visualization tools Experience working with CI/CD software Things you should learn with us: Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment. Structured and detail-oriented approach to problem solving and debugging in a production environment. Writing documentation. Ability to work with legacy codebase. Create infrastructure documentation and how-to (docs or clips). Learn new tools and services.
