Reporting to the Facility Supervisor but working directly along side the Facility Operator II, the Facility Attendant will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex and EG’s Health and Active Living Plaza. Key Responsibilities Include: * Daily cleaning, sanitizing and upkeep of all areas of the facilities using floor scrubbers, vacuums, cleaning equipment, cleaning chemicals, etc. * Emptying garbage receptacles, sweeping floors, cleaning glass and tidying change rooms between rentals. * Moving nets and shoveling to assist with ice pad resurfacing. * Assist with setup and tear down of the ½ ice board system. * Prepare meeting rooms/ halls and gymnasiums based on user group requirements for setup i.e. tables and chairs. * Assist the public in their use of the facility as required. * Other duties as assigned to keep the facility safe and clean for the users. Qualifications and Requirements: * First Aid and CPR/AED Certified. * Class “G” Drivers License in good standing is an asset. * This role requires the ability to safely perform duties on ice and other slippery surfaces, sometimes in cold or wet conditions. * Ability to deal courteously and effectively with user groups, general public, program participants. * Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Record Check) is required. Requirements
Candidates must hold valid First Aid and CPR/AED certifications and be able to perform physical tasks in various environmental conditions. A Class G driver's license is considered an asset, and a successful Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
