We are an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands in film, television and advertising. Our work has received accolades including Oscar nominations and numerous VES, Cannes, D&AD, Clio & ADCC awards. About You The Producer will manage the visual effects production for our long, short form and commercial projects. The Producer will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the production are executed on-time, on-budget, and to the highest quality standards. They act as the primary liaison between The Embassy VFX and the client VFX team Your Role Collaborates with the Head of Studio, VFX Supervisors, and technical team to review client materials, including scripts, storyboards, and pre-visualization, to generate visual effects breakdowns and bids Acts as the primary liaison with all client-side parties, overseeing client correspondence and facilitating feedback sessions with the Head of Studio and VFX Supervisors Proactively identifies potential production challenges and collaborates with the Head of Studio and VFX Supervisors to ensure creative decisions align with budgetary and scheduling constraints Manages all requirements for client live-action, element, or miniature shoots, ensuring seamless coordination and execution Takes charge of client turnover schedules, ensuring timely delivery of necessary assets and materials Works closely with the Associate Producer and/or Production Manager to allocate crew and digital resources effectively within budgetary constraints Coordinates facility deliveries and special requirements, communicating changes to the Head of Studio and studio management team as needed Collaborates with the Head of Studio and Finance Controller to oversee all aspects of the show budget, including accurate projections and weekly reporting of Estimated Final Cost (EFC) Approves all show budget costs and monitors changes to the scope of work, including shot turnover re-bidding, while maintaining thorough documentation and issuing client change orders as necessary Prepares and distributes weekly status reports to clients and the Embassy Head of Studio, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals Provides mentorship to production staff and actively participates in the show performance appraisal process and post-mortems to drive continuous improvement Your Qualifications 5+ years of experience in production management or supervisory roles specifically within feature film visual effects Demonstrated proficiency in organizational, project management, and leadership capabilities Thorough knowledge of Google Suite and Flow Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Proven ability to effectively resolve conflicts Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment Bachelor’s degree in film, art, communications, or a related field is preferred We Offer Strong emphasis on work-life balance with standard working hours of 9am–5pm Paid lunch break Paid Sick days from day one Group benefits for eligible employees Employee Assistance Program for eligible employees Paid Float Days for eligible employees Summer and Christmas parties Centrally located office space Fully stocked kitchen with complimentary snacks and drinks Friday Happy Hour - join the team every Friday at 4pm for a casual wind-down chat over drinks The Embassy Visual Effects Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer.
