Job summary

Position Overview The GeoFocus Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of multiple purpose-built apartment rental projects. This role is ideal for a construction professional with hands-on experience in wood frame construction who is looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced project management environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Construction, Project Managers, Estimators, and Site Supervisors throughout all phases of construction, from pre-development through project close-out. Projects range from approximately 9,000 to 15,000 square feet, with individual project values between $2.5M–$3.0M in hard construction costs. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Administration Assist the Senior Project Manager in executing all aspects of project delivery Support execution of construction management responsibilities under CCDC 17 contracts with trade contractors Support execution of construction management responsibilities under CCDC 5A contracts with owners Assist with project close-out and turnover procedures Maintain project documentation, records, meeting minutes, and drawing management through Procore and/or Autodesk platforms Coordinate weekly updates and ongoing communication with project stakeholders Scheduling & Budget Support Assist in preparation and maintenance of construction schedules using Microsoft Project Support preparation of project anchor budgets Assist with monthly reporting and invoicing reviews alongside PMs and Site Supervisors Assist in preparation of change orders and change directives Tendering & Contract Administration Assist PMs and Estimators in preparing project-specific scopes of work for tendering Support bid analysis and trade award recommendations Assist with preparation of Letters of Intent (LOIs) and CCDC-17 contracts Technical & Site Coordination Assist with review and coordination of: RFIs Shop drawings Submittals Consultant review comments Assist PMs and Site Supervisors with constructability reviews Ensure daily logs, site photos, and project reporting are uploaded and maintained in Procore Attend project sites as needed in collaboration with PM Qualifications & Experience Minimum completion of one full-cycle wood frame construction project Experience with purpose-built rental or multi-residential construction considered an asset Familiarity with: CCDC contracts Procore and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud Microsoft Project Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Detail-oriented with strong document management capabilities Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, and trade contractors Position Details Office-based role with regular site visits Involvement across approximately 10 projects throughout your time with the company Exposure to projects totaling approximately $25M in construction value Opportunity for long-term growth within a growing construction team Start Date ASAP Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $80,000 – $95,000 CAD (commensurate with experience) Comprehensive benefits package Two (2) weeks paid vacation

What you’ll do

The Project Coordinator will assist in executing all aspects of project delivery and support construction management responsibilities. They will maintain project documentation and coordinate communication with stakeholders throughout the construction phases.

Requirements

Candidates should have completed at least one full-cycle wood frame construction project and have familiarity with CCDC contracts and construction management software. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
