The Guardians Family Support Services is a community focused nonprofit that helps individuals, local and newcomer families connect to practical supports, trusted resources, and a reliable community with a sense of belonging. We mobilize a cross cultural volunteer network to provide navigation support, referrals, mentorship, and community connection so families can understand systems, access services, and feel supported as they navigate change and thrive. Our work includes family support and resource coordination, newcomer welcome and settlement navigation, and age appropriate programs and guidance for youth and children. We lead with dignity, cultural humility, and a people centered approach that is strengths based and trauma informed. We partner with community organizations, service providers, and local leaders to reduce barriers and make support easier to access. Volunteers contribute to community and family activities, newcomer welcome, youth activities, events, outreach, mentorship, peer support, and professional or administrative projects, depending on the opportunity. They help connect individuals and families with practical support, resources, referrals, and community connections.
