We’re looking for an on-site Lending Service Representative in the financial services industry. Our client is a community-focused financial institution serving rural communities and agricultural markets. Known for its relationship-driven approach, strong community involvement, and commitment to service excellence, the organization is investing in its future through succession planning and the development of its next generation of lending professionals. The Lending Service Representative will be responsible for managing a commercial and agricultural lending portfolio, supporting member growth, and serving as a trusted advisor to business and agricultural clients. Lending Service Representative responsibilities: Manage and grow a commercial and agricultural lending portfolio exceeding $25 million Conduct member interviews and identify lending, financial, and advisory needs Analyze financial information and assess creditworthiness for lending decisions Grant consumer, mortgage, agricultural, and commercial loans within approved authority limits Build and maintain long-term relationships with commercial and agricultural members Provide financial counselling, lending advice, and product recommendations Support and mentor newer lenders across the branch network Contribute to business development, portfolio growth, and member retention initiatives. The successful candidate has: Senior-level lending experience with commercial lending expertise preferred Experience managing complex commercial and agricultural lending portfolios Strong credit analysis, financial analysis, and credit adjudication skills Proven relationship management and business development capability Experience managing lending files from beginning to end Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills Ability to mentor and support developing lenders within the organization Compensation and benefits: The discussed salary range is $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience Annual incentive opportunity 7% matched pension plan Comprehensive health and dental benefits Employee share purchase program and preferred lending rates Relocation assistance available if required Three weeks vacation Significant long-term career growth opportunities through succession planning Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
