Job summary

The Landmark Group is looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our construction team. This is a full-time seasonal position, typically running from mid-March through the end of December. There may be opportunities for winter work depending on workload, with a seasonal layoff during the winter when work is not available. This position is a great fit for someone who already has solid landscape or construction experience and is ready to take on more responsibility. You’ll work alongside an experienced foreman, help lead the crew, and be involved in building high-end residential landscapes from the ground up. For the right person, this role can develop into a foreman position as you learn our projects, standards and the Landmark way of doing things. What You'll Be Doing Building high-end residential landscape projects Installing natural stone, interlock, retaining walls and other hardscape features Grading, drainage and site preparation Operating skid steers, mini excavators and other construction equipment Reading plans, taking elevations and assisting with layout Helping organize the jobsite and keep production moving Working alongside and helping guide other crew members Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and jobsite cleanliness Our projects can include everything from patios and retaining walls to pools, outdoor kitchens, structures and complete property transformations. What We're Looking For You don't need to know everything on day one, but you should already be comfortable on a construction site and take pride in building things properly. Ideally, you have: 2+ years of landscape construction, hardscape or related construction experience Experience operating construction equipment Experience with grading, elevations and/or reading landscape plans Strong attention to detail A good understanding of how a productive jobsite should run A positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work well as part of a crew Valid driver's license Leadership experience is an asset.
