The Department of Citizenship and Immigration (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) facilitates the entry of temporary residents, manages the selection, settlement and integration of newcomers, grants citizenship and issues passports to eligible citizens. Following upcoming amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations and to the Citizenship Regulations, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will be issuing administrative penalties and consequences for violations committed by those providing paid advice and representation on immigration or citizenship applications. Reviewers must determine whether, on a balance of probabilities, the person is responsible for the violation and, if so, whether the amount of the penalty has been determined in accordance with the acts and regulations. Reviewers review all written submissions requesting a review and provide a decision in writing to the requester and to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. This is a virtual position open to candidates across Canada. Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their application by the date below. Reviewers determine if individuals are responsible for violations regarding paid immigration and citizenship advice based on a balance of probabilities. They evaluate written submissions and provide formal written decisions to requesters and the department.
