Job summary

We are looking for a Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our Distribution Centre in Vaughan. Working onsite 5 days a week from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily transportation operations. As the main point of contact for drivers, you'll coordinate daily routing, support transportation activities, and help ensure on-time, efficient deliveries while maintaining excellent communication across the distribution team. What you will accomplish with us: Route outbound freight to optimize driver routes to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and safe deliveries. Manage unforeseen events (delays, weather, emergencies) by adjusting routes in real time. Resolve day-to-day issues and direction or Master Group truck drivers, escalating to Regional Lead when appropriate. Resolve day-to-day issues related to freight movement, delays, and service exceptions, escalating to Regional Lead when appropriate. Execute standardized transportation processes, KPIs, and operational routines. Communicate and follow-up with driver workforce to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable transportation execution as directed by Regional Lead. Execute fleet safety, maintenance, and compliance program record retention per enterprise standards. Ensure regional carrier representatives provide performance data per enterprise requirements. Identify continuous improvement opportunities with routing efficiencies, backhaul, and asset utilization improvements for the Regional Lead. Monitor regional performance metrics and provide regular reporting to transportation leadership Collaborate with Operations leaders and employees to enable unload and load per on-time standards. What You Bring to Our Team: Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma Required Skills & Experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments. Regional or multi‑site outbound transportation operations experience Private fleet and driver management experience Knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations and driver compliance requirements Strong analytical, operational, and people leadership skills Comfort using Excel, ERP systems, and digital tools for route management. Preferred Familiarity with road regulations and transport conditions. Experience with ERP, TMS, or fleet management systems Manufacturing or distribution environment experience French Language Key Competencies Operational execution Communication Problem solving Data‑driven decision making Cross‑functional collaboration Base Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000 annually Supplemental Pay Types: Annual bonus The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with applicable regulations. What you’ll do

Coordinate daily routing and outbound freight to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries while managing driver activities. Monitor regional performance metrics and resolve day-to-day transportation issues and service exceptions.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and experience in outbound transportation operations and private fleet management. Candidates must be proficient in Excel and ERP systems with a strong understanding of Canadian transportation regulations.
