Job summary
Position Summary: The Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the school’s academic programs and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. This role involves coordinating curriculum implementation, supporting teachers, monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive and effective academic environment. The Academic Coordinator works closely with school leadership to align academic goals with the school’s mission and standards. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, implement, and oversee academic programs and curriculum delivery. * Support teachers in lesson planning, instructional strategies, and classroom management. * Monitor student performance and work with teachers to design interventions for improvement. * Coordinate assessments, examinations, and reporting processes. * Provide professional development and training opportunities for teachers. * Ensure curriculum compliance with educational standards and school policies. * Collaborate with administration on scheduling, academic calendars, and resource allocation. * Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and leadership regarding student progress and academic goals. * Stay updated on best practices in education and recommend improvements to teaching and learning. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred). * Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies. * Previous experience in teaching and/or academic coordination. * Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
