NAACJ’s mission is to enhance the capacity of member organizations to contribute to a humane, fair, equitable and effective justice system. We do this by: 1. Contributing to the education and capacity of member organizations through activities that share and generate knowledge, information, ideas and values in relation to current and emerging criminal justice issues, 2. Serving as a catalyst for action by member agencies by providing collective support for actions undertaken by individual member agencies, and 3. Supporting the development of socially responsible policy by promoting the role and value of the members in consultation with the federal government.

The Executive Director will lead the organization by growing its capacity, diversifying revenue streams, and strengthening relationships with government partners. They are responsible for mobilizing member associations and ensuring the organization maintains sharp policy leadership regarding correctional and parole reform.
