Job summary
Tutor / Educational Support Teacher The Right Key is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated educators to join our growing team of tutors providing personalized academic support to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. We believe that every student has the potential to succeed when they are provided with the right support, encouragement, and instructional approach. Our tutors work one-on-one or in small groups to help students build foundational skills, strengthen their confidence, and develop a positive relationship with learning. What You’ll Do Provide individualized tutoring and educational support to students in Kindergarten–Grade 6 Support students in literacy, reading, writing, mathematics, and foundational learning skills Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs, strengths, and goals Use engaging, age-appropriate, and evidence-informed teaching strategies Build positive relationships with students and create a supportive learning environment Communicate professionally with families regarding student progress and areas of focus Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed Support students in developing confidence, independence, and effective learning strategies Provide instruction in English and/or French, depending on qualifications and student needs What We’re Looking For OCT certification, teaching experience, or relevant education/tutoring experience preferred Experience working with children in Kindergarten–Grade 6 Strong knowledge of elementary literacy and/or mathematics Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach Ability to individualize instruction and respond to diverse learning needs Professional, reliable, and organized Passion for helping children feel confident and successful in their learning French-language proficiency is an asset and may be required for some positions.
